You're in ruins

Do you know what's worth fighting for?
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away and you feed yourself suffocating?
Does the pain wigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Did someone break your heart inside? You're in ruins.

When you're at the end of the road
And you've lost all sense of control
And your thoughts have their toll
When your minds breaks the spirit of your soul
Your faith walks on broken glass
And the hangover doesn't pass
Nothings ever built to last, you're in ruins.

Reflections

I caught you watching me
in the bathroom mirror
before cereal yesterday morning.
I looked at you, looking at me
and wondered
do you see me fading?

When you looked straight
into my blue eyes
straight through-into the part of me
only you my dear are allowed to see,
did you notice the fade to gray?

Remember you loved me first
when my black hair so long
and my blue eyes so bright.
You say you love me still-love me the same
when my black hair falls our and my blue is gray-
This is not your choice of course
and I will always know that
my love.
